Prayer center architecture 2.0: in the light planning of the representative Hasan Tanık mosque in the Turkish capital Ankara the comprehensive concept of Occhio is shown to its full advantage. A total of 49 Puro lamps – verticale and parete singolo – were placed so that their characteristic lighting effect becomes a design element in the modern mosque. However, in the late Ottoman rooms not only the timeless design is convincing: the brightness, efficiency and durability of the CDM technology used here also set it apart.
