Premier in Sweden: On 8 February 2018, Occhio, a Munich-based design luminaire company, opened the first Occhio gallery in Sweden along with Deco Nation Stockholm. Axel Meise, the founder and CEO of Occhio, introduced the multifunctional store concept that brings together a showroom and information platform, creating an optimal setting for unmatched customer service and retail sales. The star of the product presentation was the Mito luminaire series introduced in autumn 2017.
Together with Deco Nation, Occhio CEO and founder Axel Meise opened the Occhio gallery by Deco Nation in Stockholm on 8 February 2018. About 100 invited guests experienced an exciting mix of architecture, light design and products in the store's captivating surroundings. An interactive world of brands and experiences has been created in the newly redesigned rooms that include more than 150 square metres of space. In this warm setting, customers can envelope themselves in the light produced by Occhio’s luminaire and spotlight systems to experience the light and light quality much as they would in their own homes. In the gallery, an Occhio shop-in-shop area, end customers and professionals can explore the company's unique luminaire systems and experience their innovative functions. »I’ll be really pleased if we succeed in getting the lovers of high-quality interior and light design in Sweden excited about the exceptional products made by Occhio,« said Mats Bjornebrö, one of the two managing directors of Deco Nation.
The first Occhio gallery in Sweden
The Occhio gallery by Deco Nation is the first such store in Sweden and is part of Occhio’s new »store by« and »gallery by« concept that is being introduced with a select group of retail partners across Europe. »Our main goal is to enable customers to experience Occhio as a brand at the point of sale and to optimally showcase our products in the shop-in-shop solutions we have developed,« Meise said. »These solutions come in different sizes with the largest ones being Occhio galleries and Occhio stores operated by specialist retailing partners.«
Mito – spherical, mythical, aesthetic
The focus of the product presentation was Occhio’s new masterpiece, the new luminaire series Mito. This imaginative symbiosis of immaculate design, magical features and unique lighting effects is a jewel and an innovative luminaire system in one. It also has another fascinating new quality: Occhio »color tune,« a feature that enables users to set the colour temperature to suit the mood.
Meise then added: »Our mission is to develop innovative and unique product families to create holistic lighting designs. With our products, we want to provide people with the opportunity to interact naturally with light and empower them to become the light designers of their own living spaces. After all, quality lighting means quality of life.«
