With »The Universe«, Occhio is putting forward yet another spectacular trade fair appearance at this year's Light + Building. The eye-catching 400 m² fair stand was already a magnet for many visitors in its first two days. Planets floating in the Occhio universe represent individual innovations in product, design and technology - and thus the future of light at Occhio. In doing so, the products initially seem to step into the background. Instead, the focus is on a journey into the future of light and a universe of possible applications with Occhio.
Recessed in the ceiling of the stand, spotlights and luminaires skillfully portray the themes and product planets. In doing so, planets S, M, L, X and E convey the future product strategy of Occhio.
At the center is the »green planet«, a walk-in sphere covered with more than 4000 real plants, the inside of which features the new Occhio exterior series of luminaires, Sito, and which symbolically stands for the evolutionary philosophy of Occhio.
Planet L represents the familiar Sento family of luminaires and the Più spotlight system, which has been expanded to include an entirely new category of spotlights with the RS ambience spotlights. With its io und lui spotlights, represented by Planet M, Occhio is expanding the geometric 3d spotlight system to include two new series of recessed and surface-mounted spotlights that inspire with exceptional minimalism. Rising above these is the new, larger Mito series with circular luminaires in various diameters and version that enable a very special style of lighting architecture for the space. Planet S is another highlight. Together with Audi Industrial Design, Occhio presents the results of their collaboration: Sintesi, an innovative luminaire concept in the form of a modular system. Planet C represents »control« and presents Occhio air. Light can be controlled easily and intuitively by app or remotely via Bluetooth. Occhio is also putting forward innovative concepts in the field of LED technology: The successful spotlight system Più plus is now equipped with LED in mains voltage technology, so remote power supply units no longer need to be installed.
A total of eleven planets thus highlight the future visions of Occhio and guide visitors through the impressive stand by means of digital »space stations«. The trade fair appearance was designed, created and carried out by Jürgen Drändle of Drändle 70|30 in close collaboration with brand agency Martin et Karczinski, Munich.
